Today was a lot of fun. I decided to wake up early to go to the gym before we left for our tour. After the gym I decided to exchange money because I’m getting pretty tight (2nd week). I made my smoothie for breakfast and talked to Kayla’s parents. They are so kind. I got ready because we were leaving from UPC at 10:30 a.m. Anna our classmate arranged a winery tour guide for us today. We had a nice bus take us to a mountain that had an amazing view. Afterwards we tasted wine at the local winery. The tour guide said it is hidden and not many tourist visit so we got a good deal! We got to try 6 different types of wine plus Pisco sour, which is the Peruvian drink. It was amazing, some wines I liked some I didn’t. They also gave us cheese and crackers, meat (which I don’t eat). I would say we all left tipsy but it was a very fun experience. We got to see where wine was made and he explained the process. Very good and tasty day! The next day I went to El Centro with Anna, Claudia, Mallory and Jaime. I bought three movies for almost three dollars! It was a fun day looking around.
I cracked my water bottle with hot water and cut my finger trying to get the blue protective layer off. This week has been quite a roller coaster as well. It has been a lot of fun! Starting off the week I recovered from my sea urchin situation. However, I had put hot water on my “durable” glass water bottle. The water bottle of course cracked, and for some reason I decided to take the blue protective layer off thinking I won’t cut my self. While I just taking it off the water bottle split it two and slicing my finger. No worries; my finger is still attached to my metatarsal, however it was a little deep. During the week I have my usual schedule of going to the gym and school. This week however my roommates parents visited. That was great! We ate different food every day. They took me to Mira Flores and paid for me. They took me out to frozen yogurt and I tried a new flavor called Lucama. A fruit here in Peru and it was delicious! This weekend was a lot of fun; we went to the bar and then to a discoteca afterwards. Only negative thing about it is that I got my wallet and phone stolen. Again, things happen it was actually my fault for not taking good care of it. I learned from my mistake!
